what is a wiki?

A wiki is a collection of web pages which multiple people can edit. Each change to a page is recorded so that you can collaborate with any or all members of the wiki. If you make a mistake while editing a page or someone deletes information from a page, you can always revert the page to a previous version. You can watch a video about wikis at Common Craft.

about this wiki

This wiki is the workplace for all Proximity media teams associated with sections of ENGL 317: Writing for Business and Industry at Towson University taught by Prof. Paul Miers. Only students registered for those sections may join this wiki.

joining this wiki

Only members of this wiki can create or edit pages. To join this wiki:
  • click on "Join this Wki" at the top of the left navigation menu;
  • if you are not already a member of Wikispaces, create an account by entering a user name, password, and email address;
  • once you are a member of Wikispaces, return to this page and click "Join this wiki."
Your request to join will then be approved by the wiki organizer. Once you have also verified your email address, Wikispaces will notify you that your request has been approved.
